The Fairmont was a favorite stop in the late 40's and early 50's. Mianly after School. Too many stories to tell here. Very good articles. **Editors Note: Read Fairmonts - the Oasis of Dewey Street** |

We love your magazine and we love you. When the sun goes down here in the West we can still here the heartbeat and perseverance of Our People's drum. We are both so thankful that you have brought together the people once again this year . We all need to be connected, you all were so informative about the pow wow circuit and how important is to try your best to include the whole family. It was a great experience, thankyou. DAre to be different! Hi MOM! |

By happy coincidence, we found North Platte Magazine, surfing for Info on the Cheyenne artist, Tim Swimmer,III. We had purchased small samples of his work this past June at our first, hopefully not last, visit to the region. |

Thank you, we are really enjoying the articles about "OLD LEMOYNE". we were able to go out to the old town last week end, and also to the Peterson Bros. Ranch just West of the old town, and get pictures, and pick up a few things. Thank you, Eldon and Vivien. |

My husband and I visited old Lemoyne today. We walked along the streets and especially interesting to my husband was the site of the old car garage. He picked out several pieces of model T ford parts, model t pan, model t timers, transmission gear and a old model t block with a crank shaft in it, radiator shell, fender, running board, two spare tire carriers. We thoroughly enjoyed it. |

Great article!! Always are an interest especially right under your own nose. Maybe this summer since the lake is so low we will take a trip out to Lemoyne to see if we can see anything of interest.

Hi guys,
I was just looking at your site to see what it has on it and was shocked to see Molly Dog because I remember when Ian first started them in high school. I was also wondering if Marty can email me a copy of the pics he took of us helping at the Pow Wow. We would like to include it in our scrapbook. Thanks, Tisha |

I just wanted to say that I am very pleased to hear about the North Platte Pow-Wow! The Native American was so prominent in the 'old days', but you don't get a chance to learn too much about Native Americans anymore, especially here in this area. I plan on attending the event in October! |

You've done a great job showcasing the North Platte area. I really enjoyed reading it. I particularly enjoyed the story by Billie Lee Snyder Thornburg and the history lesson of Wounded Knee. The paintings by Tim Swimmer III were very moving. The historical photos were great, too bad the North Platte Arch couldn't have been saved. At least the Fox theatre was saved, Seattle and surrounding towns don't seem to care about many of the old original buildings anymore. I for one am so tired of strip malls. I guess I didn't realize that Buffalo Bill lived near N. Platte, either. Thanks for sending it. Is there going to be a monthly volume or quarterly? I'll look for it online! |
