The North Platte Public Library is located in downtown North Platte at 120 West Fourth Street, and offers a
Technology Learning Center free of charge to anyone needing to use a computer.
These computers have access to the Internet and Microsoft Office software. Scanning, color printing, and facsimile (fax) services are also available for a fee.
The hours of the Technology Learning Center, from September through May are: Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Friday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.; and Saturday 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Summer hours,
June through August are: Monday and Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.; Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The library is closed on Sundays and major holidays.
The library also boasts traditional library services with more than 95,000 materials. You will discover
that this library offers many collections, such as: fiction and non-fiction books; large print materials; books on audio-tape; art and photographic prints; computer CD-ROM's; music on CD; newspapers; magazines; and more!
Everyone is welcome to use these materials within the library.
The North Platte Public Library is a participating member of the NebrasKard, a statewide library card. If you have a NebrasKard, you can also check out materials from the library.
There are several other types of library cards. A temporary card is $5 for three months and an out-of-county card is $25 a year if you wish to check materials out of the library.
