The traveling Vietnam Veterans' Wall will be in North Platte Aug. 7-10 in Centennial Park west of Great Plains Regional Medical Center on Leota Street.

Vietnam Vets to meet; 'Traveling Wall' to be in NP

The traveling Vietnam Veterans' Wall will be in North Platte Thursday, Aug. 7, to Sunday, Aug. 10, in Centennial Park west of Great Plains Regional Medical Center on Leota Street.

The half-size wall will be on display 24 hours a day, beginning at 7 p.m. Thursday.

The Wall, which was in North Platte in 1997, is being sponsored by the Veterans of Foreign Wars 1504 in North Platte.

The Wall is in North Platte in conjunction with the 19th annual Vietnam Veterans' reunion at Quality Inn & Suites during those days.

The reunion kicks off at 4:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 8, with opening ceremonies at Centennial Park.
