Curious about Habitat for Humanity but not quite ready to grab a hammer?
Learn more about this organization and its projects at the January Brown Bag Luncheon at the North Platte Public Library. This Friends of the Library sponsored event will be held Thursday, January 8, 2004 from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM.
Volunteers, including Chuck Scripter, Brian Moore, and Nina McGuire will speak on the local building projects. The North Platte organization has recently completed their eleventh home. In addition, George Hipple will give a slide presentation on national and international Habitat for Humanity projects.
Please call the library (308-535-8036) to make reservations by 12:00 PM, Wednesday, January 7. Bring your own lunch or reserve one for $5.50. Lunches must be reserved no additional lunches will be available the day of the program.
